All My Papers & Troy Announce Cost Effective Solution for
Printing IRDs from FedReceipt & FedReceiptPlus Services
Saratoga, CA -- April 27, 2010 -- All My Papers (AMP), a developer and distributor of software for Image Cash Letters, and TROY Group, Inc., a worldwide leader in secure on-demand printing solutions, announced today the release of a cost effective solution for printing Image Replacement Documents (IRDs) from Return Image Cash Letter files offered by the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) FedReceipt and FedReceiptPlus services. This new solution provides non-image enabled financial institutions the capability to receive and process secure return items via electronic Image Cash Letter files provided by the FRB on a more timely and reliable basis.
The AMP and TROY solution includes the AMP X9 VIEWER software and a TROY MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) enabled IRD printer. The AMP X9 VIEWER software provides the ability to view return check items in the ICL file and print valid IRDs with a TROY IRD printer. When printing each IRD with TROY developed MICR fonts and high quality TROY MICR toner included with the HP-based TROY IRD Printer, financial institutions can be assured that all legal requirements are met for each IRD. As a result, institutions can be confident when re-presenting IRDs, including IRDs in advise letters to their customers, or posting them using their current item processing systems.
The FRB encourages receipt of electronic files instead of the paper items. This provides the advantage of faster processing (ICL files are sent from the FRB early in the day) which helps to minimize both fraud and time for recourse. In support, the AMP and TROY solution provides a more efficient and cost effective method, eliminating the need to wait for delivery of physical IRDs from the FRB.
Printing IRDs to a standard desktop printer from a PDF file is an alternative that is offered by the FRB to their customers. To print valid IRDs using this method, it is the responsibility of the financial institution to assure the IRD meets the ANSI X9 specification for IRDs. The AMP and TROY IRD print solution eliminates the risk of non-compliance by providing a tested solution that includes everything needed for reliable IRD printing.
