TROY Introduces Light Weight MICR Printer for
Mobile Payments and Small Business

Costa Mesa, CA, - November 19, 2009: TROY Group, Inc. , a worldwide leader in secure on-demand printing solutions,  announces the TROY MICR 1505n Printer, the newest addition to TROY’s line of MICR check printing solutions.  Based on the HP 1505n LaserJet Printer, TROY’s MICR 1505n offers cost-effective and reliable check printing capability for the small business market and the portability features required for all mobile check payment applications.

The TROY MICR 1505n Printer provides customers a fast 24 page per minute print speed.  With a small footprint and weight of only 12.9 pounds, the 1505n is the most compact and lightest MICR printer available on the market.  The TROY MICR 1505n comes standard with both USB and network connectivity.  To complete the solution, TROY ships each MICR 1505n printer with a high quality TROY MICR Toner Secure cartridge and the TROY MICR font, both specifically designed by TROY for reliable check printing with a 1505n printer.

A new print application served uniquely by the TROY MICR 1505n is mobile check payments. One example is insurance claims, where customer service is critical to maintaining and growing a client base. Up to this point the right combination of MICR printer reliability, performance, low weight and small footprint was unavailable for mobile claims check printing. Insurance companies offering this service resorted to complicated vehicle-mounted systems to accommodate larger MICR printers. The new MICR 1505n solves this problem, providing a durable and compact HP LaserJet printer combined with the MICR check printing reliability of TROY.
